Information for Parents

School Uniform

We have a simple uniform at Oakfield to encourage a sense of belonging. The majority of items can be bought at most department stores. Photos, by the Children, of the School uniform are here for boys and here for girls. Our dress code is:

  • White shirt/polo shirt with a maroon jumper or sweat shirt
  • Grey/black trousers or in the summer – grey/black shorts
  • Grey/black/white socks
  • Black low heeled school shoes – no trainers

  • White blouse/polo shirt with a maroon cardigan or sweatshirt
  • Grey skirt, pinafore or trousers or in the summer – red school dress, checked or striped
  • White, black, grey or burgundy socks or tights
  • Black low heeled school shoes – no trainers

Maroon sweatshirts, fleece jackets, book bags, hats, ruck sacks, and bags with the school’s logo can be purchased direct from Skoolkit in Totton, or ordered online from Tesco – Embroidered clothing. We will be holding some sample sizes of the Tesco items, you will be welcome to come into the school office to check the sizes before you place your own order online. Tesco do not make a delivery charge and will give the school a donation for each item purchased.

PE Kit

  • Maroon or black PE shorts
  • Plain White T-shirt
  • Black plimsolls/trainers

It is useful if a named P.E. Kit can be kept in a drawstring bag in the cloakroom. Children will also need a warm top for outdoor games in the winter months. Tracksuits are useful for outdoor games but are not essential.

The children have outdoor playtimes throughout the year unless the weather is wet so a warm winter coat is essential.

Please ensure that all items of clothing, sandwich boxes, water bottles and bags are clearly marked with your child’s name.

We only allow one pair of small stud earrings and no other jewellery is to be worn in school. Children can wear watches but are responsible for their own belongings. To meet health and safety requirements the children must put tape over earrings and watches removed for PE lessons. We also request that children do not come into school with coloured or spiked hair, false or painted nails and wear skirts at an appropriate length.

Please note that the school cannot accept responsibility for the loss of any clothing or personal items.
